I am so happy that you are such a responsive group! Thank you for your emails and communicating with me. I realize that I'm not on this page as often as I had originally promised, but I thank you for being patient with me as I try to ramp back up to where we want to be.
In your email, the bulk of the concerns seem to be about overwhelm. A concept I am quite familiar with. The next on the "most popular" list seemed to be goals and goal setting. So I will devote these next few weeks to those topics.
It is easy to feel overwhelmed as everyone expects us to be Supermom at any given day or time. And we have a hard time saying "no". We've got an image to protect, after all.
Working moms feel guilty for leaving their children and stay at home moms get labeled as lazy. No matter the choices we make, someone, somewhere will find fault. And with social media, people are not shy about venting their opinions to all of Facebook.
So, first things first. We need to understand who WE are. We need to see our foundation clearly. It will help our decision making in every aspect of our lives. When we have our principles and our beliefs and our priorities in order then we won't be as easily distracted with others opinions, needs and wants.
Now, grab your coffee (or hot chocolate or tea... I'm in chai tea mode today) and get a piece of paper and a writing utensil of your choice.
Take a few moments to answer each one of these questions. There are no right or wrong answers, so don't worry about that. And, these answers are just for you. So be honest. Answer with as many words and feelings as you deem necessary.
Are you ready?

And there you go! Was that easy? Was it hard? Spend some time filling out the answers and then reflecting back on them. You might be surprised at how little you don't know about yourself.
Take these few moments, just for you and let me introduce yourself ... to you.
Happy New Year everyone! I just spent the morning "soft-scheduling" my tasks and goals for the year and I'm already overwhelmed! I tend to put too much on my plate and then wonder how it got there and what I'm going to do about it!
So, while in usual form, I have put way too many irons in the fire, this year, I have decided not to stress about it. I was blessed with abundant success on many levels last year and with that success comes more responsibilities. I have to keep telling myself that I asked for this! Lol! And Oh! What an exciting year I have ahead of me!
There are things that I MUST do, deadlines that I MUST keep and other schedules that I have to follow, but this year I've decided to include some de-stress time that will fall into the MUST keep category! What's the point of success if I am too stressed to enjoy it? So, I will spend more time this year doing the things that I love and not just the things that are required of me.
I love being here with you. I am happy to have you along. And I hope to spend more time here, writing for my websites, promoting other authors, creating my works of fiction and nonfiction and spending time out of doors.
What have you got planned for your new year? May I suggest that you make sure you schedule some peace time in there as well!
Blessings to you!
