A new town, a new school, and having to make new friends... this could be a very scary week for one timid girl. When she lets her sadness get the best of her, she hides in her room. Her grandma steps in and suggests the strangest remedy – gardening. What does gardening have to do with friendship and kindness? You can find out by taking a stroll in "The Friend Garden".
Written by a dance teacher, Kim Black, aka "Miss Kim", who has a magical way with children, and a teacher and mom of one of her dancers, Ana Buckmaster, this book teaches kindness and friendship in a captivating and unique story.

This book tells the all too common story of a young girl whose family has moved to a new town and is sad because she doesn't have any friends or know anyone at her new school. Her grandmother comes to the rescue and takes her into her garden to teach her about friendship. The message in this book is applicable for any child, boy or girl (and some adults!), no matter if they're moving or not.
